This toolkit is a student-led project by BU Psychology students Katie Covell, Emily Daniels, Adam Harper, Lucy Newnham and Natalie Pavey (under the supervision of BU staff).
What is the Psych Toolkit?
The Psych Toolkit has been developed by BU Psychology students and staff as a way to increase confidence and awareness of employability skills and psychological literacy.
This toolkit presents all the skills BU Psychology students learn during their degree in one place, split by level and unit. This will make demonstrating skills and knowledge to potential employers easier, as you will know exactly where you gained those skills.
There is also information on possible career areas for placements, part-time work/volunteering during university and
full-time work after university.
These include psychology specific jobs, as well as jobs that are not specific to
psychology but will benefit from the skills students learn from their degree.
Finally, everything Bournemouth University offers for employability has been brought into
one place. This includes CV writing, interview practice, skills workshops and more.
This can be found under 'What BU Offers'.
