Forensic Psychologist

Forensic psychologists’ job includes the assessment and treatment of criminal behaviour. Roles within the job include criminal profiling, providing research based evidence that will influence the development of policies and and working practices, giving evidence in court, rehabilitating prisoners, supporting and trading staff and advising parole boards and mental health tribunals. Most forensic psychologists work within HM Prison Service, but some work in other organisations such as the NHS, higher education institutions and the police.
